We pride ourselves on being able to create a fun and comfortable environment for the “young” patients of our practice. We firmly believe that an early start in regular dental care is an important step to teaching your child healthy lifetime oral habits. Primary (baby) teeth should be properly cared for and any necessary treatment should be performed sooner rather than later. If not properly treated, primary teeth can and frequently do lead to problems which affect developing permanent teeth. Primary teeth are also important for:
- proper chewing and eating
- providing space for the permanent teeth and guiding them into the correct position, and
- permitting normal development of the jaw bones and muscles. Primary teeth also affect the development of speech and (most importantly for mothers) add to an attractive appearance.
